They are less likely to access care early\, and more likely to encounter services through crisis and criminal justice routes.” \n— Care Quality Commission\, State of Care Report 2024–25 \nThe crisis we cannot ignore\nMen’s mental health in the UK is in crisis and Black\, African\, Caribbean and minority ethnic men face uniquely compounding barriers that put them at significantly higher risk. The evidence is stark\, consistent\, and urgent. \nDespite this\, services designed for our communities remain scarce. Africarn’s November programme exists to fill that gap  with community-first\, culturally grounded\, stigma-free support for men who too often suffer in silence. \n\n \n \n \n \n \nBehind these statistics are real men in our community  fathers\, brothers\, sons  who are not getting the help they need. Cultural stigma around mental health\, systemic racism within services\, economic pressure\, and a lack of culturally competent provision mean that too many Black men suffer in silence until crisis hits. \nAfricarn’s Black Mind Men’s Mental Health Month is designed to reach men before crisis  with peer-led support\, culturally grounded conversations\, and practical pathways into care. \n\n \n \n \n \n \nWho is this for? \n\n\nAll Men or anyone who is part of the African or Caribbean community. \n\n\nPeople who want to learn. People who want to connect. \n\n\nAnyone who believes that community is how we thrive. \nThis event is completely free. \nAll you need to do is register here Bring someone you love. \n\n\n\n \n\n \n\n \n \n \n \n Register for Event \n \n See Upcoming Events \n \n \n \nAbout US \nAfrican and Carribean Network (AFRICARN) is a global network dedicated to bridging the gaps and uplifting Black\, African\, and Afro-Caribbean communities. \n🔗 africarn.org · 📩 events@africarn.org · \n
