Diaspora Give Back Programme

The mission of the AfriCARN Diasporan Give Back Programme is to mobilize African and Afro-Caribbean individuals from around the world to contribute to sustainable development in their communities of origin.

Project Description

The AfriCARN Diasporan Give Back Programme is a strategic initiative designed to engage the African and Afro-Caribbean diaspora in contributing their skills, expertise, and resources to uplift and empower communities across Africa, the Caribbean, and the UK. By leveraging the collective power of the diaspora, this programme will address critical challenges related to health, education, economic empowerment, and social justice.

This programme focuses on creating lasting change through collaborative action by providing mentorship, funding, skills transfer, and advocacy. Through a series of tailored initiatives, the programme will support the development of small businesses, provide health education, and empower youth and community leaders in underserved regions.

The African diaspora contributes over $46 billion annually to Africa through remittances, yet there is immense untapped potential in terms of skills transfer and resource sharing. At the same time, Black and Afro-Caribbean communities face significant challenges such as food insecurity, water shortages, health inequalities, and economic disparities. By tapping into the diaspora’s resources, we aim to address these critical issues and promote sustainable development.
